Quat Quatta Wedding Photography with Polish Traditions

Quat Quatta Wedding Photography with Polish Traditions

Quat Quatta Wedding Photography with another wonderful couple.  Having already photographed Arletta and Adam for their Engagement photo session, I was really looking forward to photographing their Wedding.

As far as Wedding Photography goes, I have to say that this was an extremely easy couple to photograph, the camera loves Arletta and I have to agree with her bridesmaids, that she looked like she walked straight off the cover shoot of a magazine!

I enjoyed meeting Arlettas family, it’s weddings like this that make me think more about the bond between a father and daughter and the special role a father plays in her daughters wedding. Having a little girl myself and although she’s a long long way away from getting married I definitely feel the moment and find it quite moving.

I photographed the boys around the corner, in the same lane way when we did our engagement photoshoot. The boys were really relaxed and a pleasure to be around.
The ceremony and reception were at the lovely Quat Quatta, it was a beautiful ceremony! After they sealed it with a kiss it was followed up with some Polish traditions.  I have come across some lovely traditions when it comes to weddings but I have to say this is definitely one of my favorites.

At the wedding reception, the parents of the bride and groom greet the newly married couple with bread, salt, and two shot glasses.

With bread, the parents give their wishes that their children will never go hungry or be in need. With the salt, they are reminding the couple that their life may be difficult at times and they must learn to cope with life’s struggles and persevere.

And then came the moment we were all waiting for – the shot glasses. One was filled with vodka, of course, but the other was filled with water.

And whoever chose the vodka? Well, they would be THE HEAD OF THE HOUSEHOLD FOREVERMORE!

With a lot at stake Arletta and Adam both chose a shot glass and by the look on their faces it was quite obvious who got the Vodka! Arletta  – The head of the household.

We really did have such a fun, relaxing day that was so full of love with lots of vodka, polish dancing and other traditions.

Have a great honeymoon in Italy guys! Sounds like an amazing trip you have planned!
