Tom (Full of Surprises) – Wedding Photography at Rye and Arthurs Seat Victoria

Surprise weekends, surprise proposals, wedding day surprises, surprise honeymoons…… Wow! Tom has proven to be a true romantic with his various surprises and displays of affection for his loved one Chela. Tom whisked Chela away on a surprise weekend to Port Arthur. This surprise had taken a lot of planning as Tom specifically got his boat licence so that he could propose to Chela on a deserted island. Upon arrival Tom carried Chela out of the boat and cooked a gourmet breakfast for two under the gazebo he had set up featuring white flowing material on the beach. After breakfast they went for a walk along the beach and it was here that he got down on one knee and asked the important question!

Chela and Tom had a beautiful garden ceremony at Seawinds Garden at Arthurs Seat followed by an intimate reception at Rye Civic Hall. ‘Our wedding day was amazing!’ said Chela. ‘ It was everything we had ever hoped for!’ True to style Tom surprised Chela with singing to her at the reception. Highlights of the day for Chela and Tom were ‘Doing our vows, seeing each other for the first time, seeing our loved ones, Tom’s singing surprise and getting photos with the horses and the beach.’ Chela had always dreamed of having photos with horses on her wedding day, we loved helping her with her dream and really love the earthy, elegance to the shots.

We travelled to some wonderful locations for wedding photography and had a wonderful time. Its nice to see a couple so romantically in love. We love that they were really natural with one another and really sweet. Thanks for being such a great couple to work with.

The honeymoon was booked and organised by Tom so that the destination was a complete surprise to Chela, up until their connecting flight in Bangkok to Krabi – Southern Thailand where Tom handed Chela a folder he had made with information and activities and itinerary. Romantic or what….!! ‘It was a fun filled and relaxing’.

Chelas advice for future brides?

‘Relax and enjoy the process! Eight of my closest girlfriends and I hired a holiday house close to the ceremony for the night before so that we could enjoy each others company. This was a great way to be relaxed and enjoy the whole weekend, rather than it feeling like a quick one day event. The boys also hired a house and had fun at their house. It took a lot of the pressure off and made the morning enjoyable and relaxed. Our wedding was the best day of my life. I wish I could do it all over again!’

‘Andrew was professional and had a great eye for detail and ensuring the photos he took were well set up. He was easy to get along with and was personable. We felt relaxed and in good hands. We were confident that he would do a great job.’ Thanks for the great feedback guys!
