New wedding traditions means making modern choices, and we are seeing that opposite sex attendants are a fresh and wonderful feature in a growing number of wedding ceremonies.
Fiona and Paul we’re married at St Mary’s church with their siblings stepping into the honourable roles of ‘Man of honour’ and ‘Best Woman.’ We love that these roles are no longer defined by gender but by how near and dear the person is to the bride or groom!
It was lovely to work with such a lovely, easy going couple who’s family was very clearly, very important to them! Hence the many family photographs taken over the day, the number of smiling faces and the gorgeous kids present.
The reception was at the beautiful Quat Quatta where we used all the amazing backdrops and scenery that this fabulous venue provides.
I made the most of modern technology by uploading a few raw, teaser shots straight from the camera to Facebook for Fiona and Paul’s friends and family to view. I love that it became an almost live update of their day with the first shot being the ‘just married’ shot uploaded before they even left the church… of course we had to be very careful to not spoil any surprises…. no one wants to spoil the first glance reaction a groom has when he sees his bride for the first time!
Congratulations Fiona and Paul thanks for being fantastic and a pleasure to work with. We wish you a happy and long life together as husband and wife!
