Asian Wedding Photography with Eka and Thomas at the Willows Melbourne
We had an early start of 7am for the Asian Wedding Photography of Eka and Thomas. I cant possibly imagine what time the girls got started on getting ready to look amazing like they did by 7am.
I knew it was going to be a fun day when i arrived to where the boys were getting ready to find a really great group of guys including past wedding clients.
We did some preparation, while working with the team at Eye Heart Media, Wedding Cinematographers and then went downstairs to capture the girls getting ready. There were a few traditional games and Ceremonies including the one where the bride has her back to the door and the groom is walked in backwards towards the bride so they can see each other for the first time together.
We headed off to the Willows on StKilda Road. I haven’t photographed at the Willows for a little while, since then they have built the entire marquee to the side, so the front is much more of a feature. Willows has the most beautiful gardens which would’ve made for a beautiful garden Wedding Ceremony however it was raining and the ceremony was frantically moved indoors.
It was an 11.30am wedding so the staff at the Willows did an amazing job to move it into a more suitable location with limited time! It was an emotional ceremony, there were a few tears but being so tight for space I was only able to capture the ceremony from a distance in the isle. Most of the ceremony was in Indonesian, it was nice to see the priest again, he was also present at some of my past Weddings as three of my past Wedding Clients were also present at the Wedding. Alia whom married Asher earlier did the amazing decorations around the wedding venue. We stayed for most of the reception and captured some amazing memorable moments with games and speeches, not to mention giving me the opportunity to see and chat with the three past wedding couples i’ve previously photographed. Daniel and Shervy even had their new little boy Zein, whom I was thrilled to have a hold and photo with. He was the most angelic little boy, Congratulations Guys! Takes me back to when my little boy was that new. Time flies…
The party was in full swing after the bridal Waltz, I enjoyed watching the party dance to Gangnam Style by Psy… Everyone was having so much fun!
I cant wait to see what the talented team at Eye Heart have produced. I could see over their shoulders some amazing footage being produced with steady cams, glide cams, sliders and the whole box and dice.
It really is such a compliment having so many couples referring me to their friends and being able to catch up with them again after their weddings. I really appreciate it1 Thanks guys!
Hope to see you again soon… Who’s getting married next? Lol Take care everyone, thanks so much Thomas and Eka for being so wonderful to work with!
