Photo For Freedom Award Plaque with Tom & my Babies.

I was quite excited to get home and view the images after the wedding as I knew I had some gorgeous photos.  The day went so smoothly, Elizabeth and Michael were so natural in front of the camera and needed little to no direction. With her gorgeous smile and Michael’s style and class together with the amazing venues and locations we captured the day beautifully.

Elizabeth and Michael had planned to be married in the Botanical Gardens but due to it being Australia Day they decided there would be too many things happening around the area, which could potentially create dramas.  So, they opted for one of my favourite and most popular combinations of the moment, with the ceremony at St Johns Church and reception at Quat Quatta. We found some new great new locations in and around the church and of course at the gorgeous Quat Quatta so we didn’t really have to travel at all from the venues.

One of my favorite images of the day is of Elizabeth’s Grandfather Charlie taking a photo of her on his mobile phone.  He had traveled all the way from Central America to be there and I think shows just how proud of her he was.  I also loved his reaction to me taking a photo of the two of them on his phone so he could send the images back to his relatives at home.

During the morning whilst the bride and groom were getting ready I noticed some family portraits on the wall from when the kids were younger.  From the style of the images and the framing I recognised the images were Barry Searles a popular and renown portrait designer in the 70′s & 80′s who my great friend and mentor Tim Marcus had worked for.  Turns out the photos were actually taken by Tim Marcus whilst working for Barry.  I had a moment as I sat there there and thought, Here I am now photographing a person who my mentor photographed as a kid with my friend/2nd Photographer and protégé’ Rhiannon… Who knows some day she may photograph Elizabeth and Michael’s kids in the future and the cycle will go on and on…

A Beautiful Garden Wedding With a Country Feel.

Larissa and David were married on Larissa’s Aunty and Uncles property in Keysborough.  Larissa was glowing and made a very beautiful pregnant bride! It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the gardens which thankfully the rain held off for most of the day!  The small amount of rain we experienced ended up adding to some of my favourite shots of the day!

Larissa is a lighting designer and I was excited to see the amazing display of lights she had inside and out, all over the property.  She did an amazing job!
Earlier, during our first wedding meeting, Larissa mentioned she would like a group shot. Being a common request these days at weddings I made notes to pack a ladder.  Larissa then came up with the idea  of her uncle taking me up in his front end loader Tractor.  I have to admit I was a little excited about this, it did sound a little fun!  When it came to the day we were set up in front of a damn  and it was time to take the group shot.  Expecting a small tractor to come putting around the corner, I turned at the sound of this almightly diesel engine roar, and her uncle dressed in a suit motoring this monster machine towards me, it really was a front end loader, and that was the little spare one!

Was really excited to work with Larissa and David. They a fun and fabulous couple and i really enjoyed myself being part of their day!  In the speeches Larissa mentioned that everyone at the wedding she shared a story with, and ours will now be her wedding with the front end loader!  Congratulations Guys and all the best with a safe arrival of your first baby!, Andrew

I am lucky enough to know this fabulous couple personally and was really touched throughout their day!    They are a fun and relaxed couple and their wedding day certainly reflected this.

The speeches and the ceremony were fabulous, probably the funniest I’ve heard at a wedding, in fact when going through the photos I don’t think I’ve ever seen a couple laugh and smile so much throughout the entire day!  Jess our beautiful Bride walked down the isle to meet her ‘Pie’ (Her Nickname for David) in an intimate garden ceremony that took place at the Fitzroy Gardens.

The guests and wedding party then walked to the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) for the Coctail Reception in the Long Room.  With Davids love of sport and being a Life MCC Member the MCG is a very special place for the couple and hence the perfect venue for their wedding day!  We were lucky enough to step out onto the field for some photos which I’m sure was one of the highlights to the Groom and Groomsmen.

I can’t imagine how amazing it would feel, to look up from the centre square and see all 95000 seats full… (Well actually I can! But that’s another story! hehe- Anzac Day 2011.)  Thanks for a wonderful day and evening Jess and David, thank-you for letting me part of your special day! I know it killed Hayley that I got to see Jess all dressed up in her wedding gown before she did… She looked gorgeous! Andrew

Sunday was another Pre Wedding Photo Shoot with Ray and Michelle another referred couple whom were both part of Danni and Kin Wen’s wedding party (a couple of photos below), also a kids portrait shoot which is a surprise present for Grandma this Christmas was squeezed in Sunday morning.

The team and I also did a full day commercial photo shoot on the MV Pearl, the new baby/ sister company to Reception Venues Quat Quatta and the Brighton International! What an amazing boat for a holiday, corporate event or a Wedding Venue with a difference!  Proofs  were selected, processed and delivered the following day with the second part of this shoot following this Monday.

We took the younger members of the Noble clan  to the Wiggles concert where my 10 month old baby out danced my two year old!

Today I’m helping out a colleague as a second photographer for a few hours at YarraGlen and then Saturday we have Kara & Davids Wedding  at Montsalvat and Ballara Receptions followed by Rebecca and Bens weddings on Sunday at Inglewood Estate, all nice and local within the Eltham area.

So sorry about all the other weddings, engagement and portraits that have not been posted, the majority of my couples have already been in to design their albums and collect their DVD of all the high resolution images, but I have yet to get them up online, the process actually does take a fair bit of time, which I am struggling to find at the moment, until after Christmas.
