Destination Wedding Photography | King Island

King Island - Destination Wedding Photography Kathryn and Charlie met whilst Kathryn was living in Darwin.  Charlie had come to Darwin to visit a mutual friend, Anna, who brought Charlie along to a casual Saturday night get-together at the local ski club.  It was there that Kathryn and Charlie were introduced.  "We hit it off immediately" Kathryn said and they continued to spend time together over the following three days while Charlie was in town.  A relationship established via phone calls and texts and then, 6 weeks later, Kathryn went down to WA for a visit where she was introduced to … [Read more...]

Sails on The Bay Wedding Elwood Beach

Wedding Photography - A hot day at St Kilda Botanical Gardens and Sails on The Bay with Sri Lankan Traditions. With temperatures reaching over 40 degrees, Jessica married her best friend, now husband Ranga, in a beautiful garden ceremony at St Kilda Botanical Gardens. I'm very, very lucky and thankful to have had such an easy-going couple who still kept a smile across their faces in temperatures that were sometimes unbearable.  Jessica has since said that the heat seemed to add to the drama and magic of the day! Jessica and Ranga, who met at a friend's birthday, got engaged during … [Read more...]

Grand Final Wedding Photography at Red Hill

Grand Final Day Wedding Photography at Red Hill Was very happy to be away from the city footy crowds this past Grand Final day and heading down to the beautiful Mornington Peninsula for Wedding Photography at Red Hill. As many of you may remember it was a stormy, cold Grand final day where the Sydney Swans won the Flag and the special day of Jenny and Sam. I had never met this couple before as all of our correspondence was done over the phone prior to the wedding. I had a really good vibe about her over the phone, so it was nice to meet Jenny for the first time in person. We walked in to … [Read more...]

Kevin and Georgina were married earlier this year in England and had their second wedding here in Australia on the weekend.  We started the day at The Fairfield Boathouse, where Kevin and Georgiana use to Kayak together.  The Fairfield Boathouse is located on the Yarra River. In a Row Boat our lovely couple paddled through Inner Melbournes only remaining natural bushland.  The ceremony took place at All Saints Church in Northcote followed by the reception at Golden Dragon Palace in Lower Templestowe, where funnily enough I've taken my family to Yum Cha a few times. Modern Technology & Modern Wedding Party @ Quat Quatta

Modern Wedding Party and Modern Technology @ Quat Quatta New wedding traditions means making modern choices, and we are seeing that opposite sex attendants are a fresh and wonderful feature in a growing number of wedding ceremonies. Fiona and Paul we're married at St Mary’s church with their siblings stepping into the honourable roles of  'Man of honour' and 'Best Woman.' We love that these roles are no longer defined by gender but by how near and dear the person is to the bride or groom! It was lovely to work with such a lovely, easy going couple who's family was very clearly, very … [Read more...]

St Johns Church and Quat Quatta reception – Katie & James Congratulations to Katie and James who were married in a late ceremony at St Johns Church followed by a reception at one of my favourite Melbourne wedding venues Quat Quatta. Butleigh Wootton Wedding

It was great to be part of such a wonderful day at Butleigh Wootton, Kew witnessing and photographing Daria and Sinis Wedding. The day started quite relaxed as the bride and groom got ready in the Bridal Suite at Butleigh Wootton.  I enjoyed using my new Canon lens ……… it creates the most beautiful, crystal clear and sharp focal points, whilst dropping out the background beautifully.  The images straight from the camera look as though they have been worked on already in Photoshop.  I love it… I did get a little bit of a laugh when I first got the new lens out of my bag with Sini … [Read more...]

Katie and Aaron got married at the beautiful Montsalvat, which some of you might know to be one of my favourite wedding photography locations, due to the amazing buildings and wealth of locations that make Montsalvat a fantastic backdrop for great wedding photography. The ceremony was in the Upper gallery, followed by group photos, family photos and Newly wed photos around the venue.  Being a local to Eltham I then led Katie and Aaron to a fabulous overgrown path just near Montsalvat.  It was a great backdrop for the beautiful photos we captured. We then all met back at the Wattle Park … [Read more...]

Sorrento Wedding Photography

It was all smiles @ All Smiles The newly weds Lindi and Andrew  were married at All Smiles, Sorrento Back Beach on Saturday and I had the pleasure of photographing this fabulous couple on their special day. I met Lindi watching her on the catwalk for the Australian Bridal Service, where she modelled along side my partner Hayley several times a year.  I watched her, as they would say 'Be a Pretend bride' many, many times over the years but I don't think I've ever seen her so happy as she was on her real Wedding Day in her specially designed for Lindi, Bernadette Pimenta Gown. Daylesford Wedding Photography

What an amazing time of the year this is, as the weather warms up, all the plants start to blossom and how fortunate am I to be in Daylesford of all places to be shooting a wedding. We’d already done an engagement session earlier this year, so being relaxed and having fun in front of the camera was second nature to this couple. The ceremony was at the Lake House in Daylesford.       It was a cosy, intimate wedding, with only the most important select few people there, not to mention their gorgeous niece and her little rabbit doll  named … [Read more...]

Grand Ballroom - The Windsor Hotel Wedding Reception

The Dome on Collins St & Windsor Hotel Wedding

I was introduced to an amazing venue, which has quickly become one of my favourite locations.  Sami and Elie were married at The Dome @ 333 Collins Street Melbourne. The building was the banking chamber of the CBA. I loved discovering and exploring  the different parts of the venue and we got some amazing shots along the way! Hence the name the venue showcased the most amazing roof top, full of detailed arches and the most ornate ceiling.  Its hard to believe that the highly glossed, reflective marble floor is full off  business people throughout the week and today … [Read more...]

Stones of the Yarra Valley Wedding

My lovely Swiss couple were married in the Yarra Valley at Stones of the Yarra Valley.  It was great to finally meet Remo at the church as I had only corresponded with him over email prior to the wedding.  Remo has his own Mamiyas in Basel Switzerland and I feel honored to have been chosen and trusted to be part of the film enthusiasts day! Throughout the day I had a bit of a chuckle to myself, here I was shooting a wedding 100% on film, I'd accidentally left my mobile at home and I didn't have my Gps to rely on as it wasn't picking up a signal.  Felt like I'd stepped out of the good … [Read more...]
